‘Wonder Woman’: First look at Adrianne Palicki in costume | EW.com

Fifi is sure that by now we’ve all seen Entertainment Weekly’s pics of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman in the planned NBC remake of the 1970s hit show.  According to  EW.com, “NBC promises the project … will offer a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character.”

A serious, non-campy take? Poodles, how can they make this claim with a straight face? Putting aside that NBC’s never produced a serious, non-campy super hero series, one look at Palicki’s costume makes us want to giggle. Let’s face it, the pic they’ve release looks like a page from a mail order Halloween costume catalog — so how could we take her seriously? And really, have you ever known a super-hero series be “non-campy?)

Oh, don’t get Fifi wrong, we will be watching when this hot mess is released. And we’ll be counting down the episodes to its inevitable demise. Sorry Poodles, but Adrianne’s bad hair and pleather get-up can’t hold a candle to Miss Linda Carter’s Wonder Woman and NBC doesn’t have the chops to make super heroes fly. This series is set to crash and burn. Invisible jet and all.

Love you, Poodles,

Fifi
