According to the Associated Press, The United Nations issued a “condemnation of discrimination against gays, lesbians and transgender people” on Friday, apparently the first of its kind from the organization. It seems the the edict may be a rather soft touch for some, but it is being hailed by the Obama administration as a step forward in human rights protections.
